Exhibition archiving and selfie app
Temporary exhibition of the Thúry György Museum
About the project
At the request of the Thúry György Museum, we archived the ethnographic exhibition “The More Ornate, the More Beautiful…” – Wide-Skirted Folk Costume with Beaded Netting in Zala.
We carried out every stage of the work, from photographing the room through content processing to presentation, under the museum’s professional supervision. As a result, the temporary exhibition showcasing objects decorated with beaded netting can still be fully explored and researched after its closure.
The digital version is built on two of our products:
- Storytelling embeds the objects in a narrative,
- Q360 provides a virtual copy of the physical space.
The workflow was as follows:
- Photographing the room – Comprehensive photo documentation of the exhibition space and the objects.
- Content processing – Preparing object descriptions and texts together with the museologists.
- Building the narrative – A story-based presentation using the Storytelling product.
- Virtual exhibition – An explorable version of the physical space using the Q360 product.
The same exhibition is complemented by a selfie app as an interactive tool. Linked to the theme of the exhibition, the app virtually dresses users in period folk costume, offering a playful journey back in time. The finished image places the user’s face onto a period genre scene featuring a person in characteristic folk costume. The app’s design was a joint effort between our company and the museum, using graphic elements that match the exhibition.
