Custom development

Where an off-the-shelf product is no longer enough, we take on the whole workflow: from the digital processing of exhibitions and visitor attractions, through the integration of archival systems, to entirely new repository software built around university needs. We build on two decades of experience with heritage institutions and on international standards.

Experience in physical space

We design interactive installations and complete exhibitions for visitor centres and museums, from concept to delivery.

Digital processing of exhibitions

Archiving the temporary exhibition of the Thúry György Museum with digital tools

We carried out every step of the workflow, from photographing the hall through the processing of the content to the presentation, under the museum’s professional supervision. This way, the temporary exhibition of objects decorated with beadwork stays fully explorable and researchable even after it has closed.

The digital version is built on two of our products: Storytelling embeds the objects in a narrative, and Q360 provides a virtual copy of the physical space.

Archival development

Standard archival systems, tailored to individual needs

Qulto Archive is a set of cooperating components, software and services built on more than 20 years of professional experience in the archival field, with which complete IT support for archives, record offices and other collections can be provided.

When designing our solutions, a key consideration is aligning archival professional processes with the IT environment. Accordingly, we do not think only in terms of introducing ready-made systems: we also provide the customisation of existing systems, their integration with other applications, custom developments, and services related to operation and further development.

scopeArchiv · Hungarian National Archives, Budapest City Archives

A Swiss archival system, adapted to Hungarian practice

The introduction, localisation, customisation and integration in Hungary of scopeArchiv, a Swiss-developed system designed specifically for archival registration and management tasks, is credited to us. The system is used by the Hungarian National Archives and the Budapest City Archives.

Based on the needs of the Hungarian National Archives, we extended the off-the-shelf product with a number of functions that take Hungarian archival practice and the characteristics of the institution into account. The aim of the developments was for the system not to work merely as a general archival registry application, but to effectively support Hungarian professional and institutional expectations, as well as the individual workflows of each institution.

The experience gained during the introduction of scopeArchiv is an important foundation for designing, integrating and further developing archival systems.

Academic repositories

Not an add-on, but new software

The needs of our university partners often go beyond extending an existing repository. In such cases, starting from the client’s processes, we design and develop an entirely new software solution.

  • ELTE

    Digital Learning Materials Repository

A standalone repository developed for storing, describing and sharing the university’s digital teaching materials.
